• REM- Rapid eye movement.
• NREM- Non-rapid eye movement
• Serotonin- A chemical nerve cells produce. Helps to regulate attention, behavior, and body temperature.
• Psychoanalyst- A health care provider who specializes in the mental health needs of adults, and sometimes children.
• Psyche- The human soul, mind, or spirit.
• EEG's- A test that detects abnormalities in your brain waves, or in the electrical activity of your brain.
• Amygdala- The integrative center of the brain for emotions, emotional behavior, and motivation.
• Superego- The ethical component of personality in the brain; provides moral standards by which the ego operates (your conscience).
